How to properly use round pin headers and sockets: detailed steps and precautions

Circular pin headers consist of two parts: the male header (pin header) and the female header (socket). Male headers typically consist of metal pins and a plastic housing, while female headers contain metal holes and a plastic housing. These two parts, through precise design and manufacturing, achieve reliable mechanical and electrical connections.

Before selecting a circular pin header, its application environment must be clarified. For example, will the connector be used indoors or outdoors? Are waterproof or dustproof properties needed? Different application environments have different material and design requirements for the connector.

What are the reasons for poor connection between round pin headers and sockets?

There are many reasons why round pin headers and sockets may have poor connections. First, surface oxidation is a common problem.
